She arrived in March during the cold weather, hungry and afraid. ![]() She had been there for sometime and everyone ignored her beautiful self. Mariah was found at a local restaurant eating by the dumpster. Mariah is current on all of her vaccines and has been tested NEGATIVE for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV). She will need time to adjust to a new home from her abandonment and from shelter life. She is looking for a loving home and family. Of course she is sad to be in cage/shelter life - but tolerates it as opposed to all that she has been through. With time and proper introductions she will do ok with another cat. She can't wait to get her own loving, indoor home. She is playful and likes her toys and blanket! When you stop petting her, she reaches out with her paw to ask for more pets. The cruelty of being left like this was lost on Elizabeth, she just wanted our TLC! She now is fully healed, her coat is back and most importantly her baby "Elyce" is raised!! She is sweet and social and absolutely loves attention. She delivered 6 kittens 5 of which were deceased and one very strong baby survived! Probably tucked in the middle of the litter. Off to the vets she spent 7 days on IV Antibiotics and came home to the shelter to to complete her pregnancy and to heal and eat well. She had frostbite on the tip of her tail which fell off and healed. Lastly - she was very pregnant and had a uterine infection. She had frostbite on both of her ears, her left ear eventually fell off and her right ear shed the back portion and the rest remained and both healed. She had frostbite on the pads of all 4 of her feet which eventually shed a layer of tissue and healed. LAS rescued both, only to immediately discover that Elizabeth was in a world of hurt. Elizabeth was found outside with another adult cat at a local extended stay hotel, following the Christmas 2022 severe weather of minus 4 degrees. Elizabeth is grey/Silver Tabby and White. Elizabeth is current on all of her vaccines and has been tested NEGATIVE for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV). Of course she is sad to be in cage/shelter life. Probably a quiet home with adults and older children. She is not real fond yet of being picked up, but tolerates it once she feels safe.
